this is where the brono-scorpions live now vs in 60 million years
right now the scorpions live in mostly forests and deserts but in 60 million years they will most likely live in the ocean
now^^^
the reason why we predict it will live in the water is because in 60 million years the ice caps will melt and the land masses will be mostly under water causing many species to evolve, including scorpions.
ENVIRONMENT problems/how they eat
the scorpions like to eat insects, spiders, other scorpions, lizards and small mammals such as mice. Scorpions can live up to months without food to eat but they can not go for a long period of time without water and where they live right now, desserts/forests/Himalayas sometimes rain doesn't fall for up to months at most.
scorpions eat by using their telson to inject venom into their prey which paralyzes and kills them. We suspect that since the ice caps will melt that the scorpions will grow bigger because of their food supplies will increase . We think that the scorpions will start to eat large fish and other scorpions.
this is what the brontoscorpio will eat...
it is called cephalaspis
it is called cephalaspis
Size and evolution
the current size of a common scorpion is 3-5 inches but in a couple of years all scorpions could possibly be this size
this is a bronscorpio it is starting to become the most common scorpion found in the ocean.
Its evolution will go like this:
small 3-5 inch scorpion to a
2.5 meter scorpion
back to a 3-5 inch scorpion
- this happens all because of the polar ice caps..... Soon after the ice caps freeze back up and our land is back, the scorpions food will then again become scarce and alot of the bronscorpios (the huge scorpions) will turn back into regular small scorpions also because of the oxygen loss.
this is what half the scorpion population will look like in 65 million years
the other half will almost the same but will have a tail like a fishing rod
and therefore, this is what we believe will be the scorpions evolved form. this sea scorpion is 1200 meters long and gains siphons to propel itself and a horn to ram into its prey.
fun facts
- As soon as the scorpion evolves it will start eating large sea animals
- the life span of an average scorpion now is 2-10 years but we predict that in 60-65 million years its life span will increase by 20 years
