The Polar Bear has changed in many ways already, Polar bears have evolved from Brown bears over the years. Polar bears and Brown bears are vastly different species in terms of body size, skin, coat color, fur type, tooth structure, and other physical features. Polar Bears are expert swimmers that have adapted to life in the arctic. Their life span is 25 to 30 years long.
Over the next 20,000 years, the body will be reduced and the skill of hunting and swimming will become better and more refined. The Polar Bear will adapt to a life more in the water than on land. Only comming on land to sleep, rest, and hibernate. It will develop a sleeker body and webbed feet. It will have gills but it will also be able to breathe outside of the water.
Over the next 100,000 years the Polar Bear will become a totaly underwater animal with fully functional gills and hind flippers. It will however, keep the front paws because then it will be able to leap out of the water and support itself on the ice when hunting seals.
