Over the past two weeks, our group has been reaserching the elephant, and, with the information we obtained, we predicted what the elephant will look like in 200,000 years. Some good things about the elephant today are listed as following,
An elephant's tusks are used to lift heavy objects and for self defence.
An elephant's trunk is used as a "third hand", spraying water on itself (cooling and cleaning), and a sence of smell.
An elephant's ears are very useful. They can be used for cooling and are a very keen sence of hearing.
An elephant's skin is very tough, and it blends with the environment.
An elephant's feet are very large, for height, and strong, so they can push through obstacles.
An elephant's tail can be used to direct young and as a fly swatter.
Here is our picture of the elephant today-
So, as you can see, the elephant kind of has it made, but it does have its imperfections. Some of which include being slow and heavy, and they are hunted for their tusks. our only adaptations are to make tougher skin, lose their tusks (people hunt elephants for the tusks), and have longer, thiner, stronger legs.
